A note on your privacy
The Mod Board is built by real estate agents for real estate agents, so we understand how sensitive your deals, client information, and commissions are. Your data is private to your account and is not visible to other users. While we have the technical ability to access account data, we do not monitor your deals, client data or browse your information. Access is limited and only used when necessary for support, troubleshooting, or maintaining the platform. We will never use your data for personal, competitive, or commercial advantage, and we do not sell or share your information with third parties.
1. Who We Are
The Mod Board is a real estate productivity and transaction management platform designed for licensed real estate professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with your use of our service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide when creating your account (such as your name and email address), payment information processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe), and usage data such as login times and feature interactions. We do not collect or store payment card numbers directly.
3. Client & Transaction Data - Security and Access
Any client names, contact details, transaction details, financial figures, notes, documents, or other sensitive information you enter into The Mod Board is protected by row-level security (RLS). This means your data is only accessible within your account and is not visible to other users of the platform.
We understand that this data is highly sensitive. As the platform provider, we have the technical ability to access user account data; however, we do not routinely monitor, view, or access individual user data.
Access to account data is strictly limited and may occur only when necessary for specific purposes, including:
- Providing customer support at your request
- Troubleshooting bugs or technical issues
- Maintaining, improving, or ensuring the proper functioning of the platform
- Complying with legal obligations or enforcing our Terms of Service
We do not access, review, or use user data for personal, competitive, or commercial advantage. We do not browse or monitor user accounts without cause. Any access is performed on a limited, case-by-case basis and only to the extent necessary to address a specific issue.
Because The Mod Board is built for professionals in the real estate industry, we recognize the importance of confidentiality and handle all user data with the same level of discretion we apply to our own business practices.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your account information (name, email) to provide and manage your account, send transactional emails (e.g., billing receipts, support responses), and improve the platform. We do not use your data for advertising purposes or sell it to third parties under any circumstances.
5. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel only and is limited to what is necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the platform.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate The Mod Board: Stripe (payment processing) and Google (authentication via Google Sign-In). Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may export or delete your client and transaction data directly from within the app. To request account deletion or data removal, contact us at info@themodboard.com.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
The Mod Board is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact Us
